Deco Phone Cases!

I've decided to start selling deco phone cases!

I recently got one from my mom and it's so cute...but at $40+ at a boutique-it just doesn't seem reasonable.

I've also noticed that all the cases are Hello Kitty, Chanel, and pink.
(Google 'Deco phone cases'-you'll see what I mean!)

I'm kind of a nerd and really like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and obsess about it so much I though it would be cool to make a phone case for myself. It turned out so cute!

Currently I'm working on some requests (I have a friend that wants a Rockabilly/Vintage Vegas/Crybaby themed one, another friend who wants a "chic" Marilyn Monroe one, and I'm also making one for my aunt's business phone for her bookstore [Sandy's Bookworm] which will be decked out with books, bookworms, and apples! haha It should be cute!)

Right now I'm planning on only selling through my Tailored Beauty Facebook page and maybe will consider expanding to Etsy once I learn how to use the site and if I even get enough business. =P

As you probably know it's been months since I started this blog and I haven't uploaded a single video! I'm so sorry guys! I haven't had a good camera that actually shows detail and clear colors! Wahh! I've figured out a temporary set up until I can buy myself a suitable camera-I'm just going to use my iphone. I'm doing what I can with what I have...after all that is what this blog is all about. :)

Hair Care

Oh boy-here we go... =P

I've been debating on whether or not to add hair color and hair care to Tailored Beauty. I will definitely be taking requests (you can email me at TailoredBeauty@yahoo.com) but for now I feel that hair care will not be my top priority. I've experienced almost everything you can imagine. Bad hair cut? Check. Bleaching disaster? Yup. Bad at home color? For sure! I've had enough bad experiences to know what's up and if you have a question that I can't answer I can for sure point you in the right place.

I'll occasionally post some things on this topic, but if you have a concern/question it would be best to email me and I'll see what I can do. :)

The Girl Behind the Blog

Hey everyone!

My name is Taylor and I'm just your average, everyday college kid-trying to stay fabulous while working part time at a coffee house.

I've seen so many great tutorials online and noticed that all the good ones are using Mac Cosmetics and other expensive products. Not that Mac is all that expensive-I know they're good quality products-but for a poor college kid like me, I have to work with what I have and what I have access to. I get most of my cosmetics and beauty products from local chain stores-such as Target, Wal Mart, Sally Beauty Supply, and more. I want to keep things practical and make sure all my viewers/readers can relate to me. :)

I wanted to start this beauty blog and channel to help other girls like myself learn how to look great on a budget. Proving that you don't need the best/most expensive foundation to have flawless skin, or shop at the most exclusive stores to look great. I will be posting thrift store hauls, make-up tutorials, and other how-to videos to share my tips and tricks.
